ERRIN strengthens collaboration with CBE JU to accelerate regional bioeconomy innovation across Europe
ERRIN has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Circular Bio-based Europe Joint Undertaking (CBE JU), alongside the European Forest Institute (EFI), European Regions for Innovation in Agriculture, Food and Forestry (ERIAFF) and the Vanguard Initiative.
The joint agreement establishes a formal framework for structured dialogue and cooperation, with the aim of accelerating the deployment of bio-based innovation at regional level across Europe.
For ERRIN, the MoU represents an important step towards ensuring that regional perspectives, priorities and investment opportunities are better connected with the European Partnerships.
A key focus of the collaboration will be improving synergies between CBE JU funding and regional and national investment instruments. Under the MoU, the partners will collaborate on a range of activities, including joint networking opportunities, information sessions for regional stakeholders and targeted actions to facilitate access to funding. The cooperation will also explore mechanisms to guide promising projects towards appropriate funding pathways.
ERRIN is pleased to strengthen its collaboration with the CBE JU together with other regional networks. By bringing regions closer to European partnerships, we can better connect innovation priorities as well as investment and funding opportunities, enabling bio-based solutions to scale up and create lasting impact across Europe.
The circular bioeconomy has been a priority for ERRIN's Bioeconomy Working Group in recent years. Members have consistently highlighted the importance of innovation in the bio-economy industry, as well as the value of place-based investments in leveraging deployment and impact.
