ERRIN welcomes new network Chair and Vice-Chairs

The ERRIN Management Board has appointed a new Chair and two Vice-Chairs, who together form the Troika.

We are pleased to announce the positions were taken over for the period of 2022-2023 by:

  • Hortense Lutz-Hermellin, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes – Chair
  • Sarah English, Scotland Europa – Vice-Chair
  • Bogdan Chelariu, North-East Romania Regional Development Agency – Vice-Chair

Hortense Lutz-Hermellin (Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes) takes over as network’s Chair from Sarah English (Scotland Europa) who remains as Vice-Chair. The Troika is completed with Bogdan Chelariu (North-East Romania Regional Development Agency) who joins as the second Vice-Chair.

We would like to extend our gratitude to Lars Holte Nielsen (Central Denmark) who steps down after serving several years as a Chair and then as Vice-Chair, as well as Sarah English for their continuous commitment to ERRIN.

The Troika will continue to work following the established collaborative approach - sharing responsibilities among the postholders in line with their knowledge and experience to ensure the best support and advice for both the Director and the Secretariat as a whole. The Chair and Vice-Chairs lead the work of the Management Board, work closely with the ERRIN Director and represent ERRIN externally in high-level events and meetings.

In addition to her role as Vice-Chair, Sarah English will also support the network as a Treasurer in 2022, taking over from Jan Urlings (Greater Birmingham West Midlands). Warm thanks to Jan, who stepped down as Treasurer after filling this function for many years.
