In the frame of the S3 Working Group, a Task force comprising 14 members developed an ERRIN's joint contribution to the consultation on the Interregional Investment Innovation instrument.

The contribution focuses on ERRIN’s views on the I3’s design, governance and complementarity. Driven by smart specialisation principles and strategies, the instrument should be interregional by design, non-prescriptive and based on regional needs, inclusive with regards to ecosystem stakeholders, supporting co-creation activities for the demonstration of the solutions, as well as complementary to other funding sources.
