The European Commission has launched two calls under the 2020 EU Health Award. The calls will reward:

1. NGOs, schools and kindergartens promoting vaccination in children (0-18 years old)
2. Cities and schools promoting healthy lifestyles for children (6-18 years old). 

The calls come as a response to vaccine hesitancy fuelled by false information and the 2017 Tartu Call for healthy lifestyles. Potential initiatives that could be rewarded include: awareness campaigns, promotion of a healthy diet, smoking prevention measures, vacciation promotion from a specific disease perspective, vaccination information and access to sustainable immunisation services. 

The first prize winner will be awarded €50,000, and second and third place will receive €30,000 and €20,000 respectively. Interested parties should check the criteria before applying at this link. The deadline for applications is 29th April 2020.
