Europe Towards Positive Energy Districts

The Programme of Positive Energy Districts and Neighbourhoods (PED Programme) is designed to support the planning, deployment and replication of 100 'Positive Energy Districts' across Europe by 2025. The programme has just released the first update to its booklet, which so far maps 60 urban projects.

PEDs will raise the quality of life in European cities, help reach COP21 targets and boost Europe's chances of becoming a global role model. The programme was established in 2018 as part of the European Strategic Energy Technology Plan.

The PED booklet is a compilation of projects contributing to the sustainable urbanisation and the energy transition. The overview, strategies, successes and challenges of each project are presented in the booklet.
