The European Commission opened the first EIC Accelerator calls following the launch of the European Innovation Council (EIC). The funding is worth over €1 billion and will help scale up start-ups and small and medium-sized businesses that have the potential to achieve high impact. While over half of the funding is open to breakthrough innovations in any field, €495 million are earmarked for innovations that support the European Green Deal as well as digital and health technologies. 

ERRIN's Innovation & Investment Working Group (WG) has been looking at the funding opportunities of the EIC and organised a webinar with the EIC Programme Managers last month. As the EIC Accelerator is also one of the key interests for this year, we invite our members to follow the Innovation & Investment WG webpage for future activities.
