Horizon Europe updated Work Programme 2026–2027: Discover the novelties and express your interest in the PDT
The European Commission recently published the updated Horizon Europe Work Programme 2026-2027, allocating an additional €500 million to the EU’s Horizon Europe research programme for 2026 and 2027.
All the funding opportunities are available on the ERRIN Project Development Tool (PDT). We invite ERRIN members and interested organisations to navigate the PDT, express interest, search for project coordinators and seek partners here.
A key novelty in this work programme is the introduction of two schemes in the ‘horizontal activities’, covering key policy priorities in biodiversity and linking research with market deployment. The two new horizontal calls are:
Transformative Change Towards a Nature-Positive Economy and Society, with a budget of €237 million;
Bridging Actions, with a total financing of €260 million.
The Nature-Positive call will fund actions supporting the EU’s biodiversity goals and help meet the 10% biodiversity spending target set out in the Horizon Europe Strategic Plan 2025-2027.
The Bridging Actions 2027 calls will prepare the ground for the EU’s next research and innovation programme, FP10, and its links with the future European Competitiveness Fund.
Please find the Work Programme on the Horizontal Activities here. Have a look at all the different Work Programmes here.
Express interest and connect with other organisations via ERRIN’s Project Development Tool. With more than 450 expressions of interests and 250 connections facilitated last year, more than 35 proposals were submitted by ERRIN members with the support of the tool.
External coordinators can add partner searches directly on the Project Development Tool and reach out to the ERRIN secretariat for further assistance:
