The European Commission today launches the 2020 edition of the Horizon Impact Award. The prize is dedicated to rewarding EU-funded projects whose results have had a societal impact across Europe and beyond.

The prize celebrates the most impactful project results that have come out of the Horizon 2020 programme and its predecessor, the 7th Framework programme. The award highlights concrete achievements and rewards those who made it happen. Each of the five winners will recieve €10,000. 

Applications for the 2020 edition are now open and will remain so until 2nd April 2020. The winners will be announced at the European Research and Innovation Days in Brussels this coming September.
