The Bio-based Industries Consortium (BIC) has launched a new partnering platform to connect industries with European regions. The platform has been developed to accelerate the green recovery in Europe's rural and regional areas by offering them support in the Smart Specialisation Strategies. 

Around 50 European regions currently participate in the platform thanks to BIC's partnership with the CoR. The existing organisations represent a broad geography with regions from north, south, west and the east of Europe. The region remains open to additional regions. 

The interactive platform enables the bio-based industry and regions to identify ideal partners for bio-based projects and investments. Regions can flag their investment priorities, the relevant financial investment priorities and the bio-based feedstocks present in their regions, for example, while the industries can highlight their investment initiatives and target market sectors.
