Public consultation on protecting the marine environment
The Marine Strategy Framework Directive is an EU tool to protect the marine environment. Following a report in 2020 revealing persistent challenges, a review is now ongoing into the directive including a public consultation to gather views on how to overcome these challenges.
Citizens, institutions and organisations are invited to share their thoughts of the potential objectives and actions of the new Marine Strategy Framework Directive by 21 October 2021.
