The European Commission has announced the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the European Innovation Council (EIC) and the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT). The move comes to reinforce their cooperation to support European entrepreneurs, enabling innovators SMEs, start-ups, higher education institutions and research organisation to receive support for deploying and scaling-up innovations.
As part of the agreement, the EIC and EIT will aim to share data and intelligence on the innovative start-ups they support.
The EIC Advisory Board and EIT Governing board will now set up a permanent structured collaboration through a joint working group, regular reviews and joint communication.
