Second set of calls under Digital Europe Programme open

Second set of calls under Digital Europe Programme open

The second wave of calls for proposals under the Digital Europe Programme has been launched, following the adoption of the work programmes and the first set of calls in November 2021.

The calls are open to businesses, organisations, and public administrations from the EU Member States, EFTA/EEA countries, as well as entities from other countries associated to the Programme. The deadline for applications is 17 May 2022

This funding will see an investment of over €249 million in several areas: data spaces (including data for cultural heritage), European blockchain infrastructure, training courses for advanced digital skills, digital solutions for better government services, projects piloting the use of artificial intelligence (AI) to fight crime, and AI testing facilities. The latter will test AI for manufacturing, food, health, and smart communities. Furthermore, an investment of €43 million worth of grants will support cybersecurity in the health sector and the deployment of a network of centres to help Member States implement relevant EU cybersecurity legislation.
