The European Commission is running a survey to gather views on challenges faced by European innovation ecosystem actors, their future opportunities and expectations. 

The input will feed into ongoing analysis and reflections of the evolution of the European innovation ecosystems, including in terms of funding programming via the European Innovation Ecosystems (EIE), European Innovation Council and Cohesion Policy programmes and actions. Complete the survey by 15 September here. 

ERRIN was actively involved in shaping the EIE action when the discussions were taking place in 2019 and a session was organised jointly by the European Commission and ERRIN. In 2021, Helsinki EU Office together with ERRIN organised a webinar on European Innovation Ecosystems, which brought together different innovation ecosystem stakeholders and several European Commission services to share their views on place-based innovation ecosystems. As the ERRIN network is closely following the development of the EIE, in June 2021 the Innovation & Investment Working Group held a meeting on the EIE work programme focusing on the destinations and the policy initiatives.
