Two new NEB funding opportunities are open

The EIT Community New European Bauhaus (NEB) was created to support on-the-ground projects that embody the values of the New European Bauhaus. As Europe’s largest innovation ecosystem, EIT Community NEB covers several fields, including climate, culture and creativity. The community has now announced two new funding opportunities, Connect NEB and Co-create NEB, calling for citizen-generated solutions to the challenges facing cities, peri-urban and rural areas.

While the Connect NEB programme engages citizens in relevant challenges within their local community, Co-create NEB invites local communities and public authorities to reimagine and co-design public space.
Applications are particularly welcome from projects focused on climate, urban mobility, food and manufacturing. In total, up to 16 projects will be selected. All applications must address at least one of the four EIT Community NEB challenge areas:

  • Re-connecting with nature
  • Re-gaining a sense of community and belonging
  • Prioritising places and the people that need them the most
  • The need for a long-term life cycle and integrated thinking in the industrial ecosystem

Eight projects will be selected in the Co-create the NEB call, with a maximum funding of 45,000 EUR per project and a minimum co-funding rate of 25% across the project. Regarding the Connect the NEB call, eight projects will also be selected, with a maximum funding of 15,000 EUR per project and a minimum co-funding rate of 20% across the project.
