Update from the ERRIN Secretariat – Our work policy

The current COVID-19 pandemic has changed our daily lives, both on a personal and a professional level. The ERRIN team has gone through a steep learning curve when it comes to digital tools and we are glad to see how effectively these tools have enabled us to work with you over the past weeks and months.

As Belgium moves away from confinement, the ERRIN Secretariat has developed a new work policy with necessary safety measures in line with national guidelines for the coming months. For the time being, the ERRIN Secretariat can best be reached by email, phone or over Microsoft Teams, as teleworking, combined with a limited presence at the office, will remain the norm until the beginning of September. However, ERRIN team members will be able to start meeting members from July onwards,  respecting physical distancing.

The current situation has shown that online tools can improve services and provide access to a greater number of actors from member organisations. Therefore, we will continue to organise Working Group meetings in the form of webinars, and we will consider hybrid meetings – partly face-to-face as well as online – in the future, once physical meetings are possible again.

We are very happy to see that the collaboration with members has continued to be very tight, also virtually. Although, we are of course looking forward to finally seeing you in person again!

We will keep you informed of how the situation evolves through our website and social media channels (Twitter and LinkedIn) and we hope to see you in our upcoming Working Group meetings and in the ERRIN Spring Annual General Meeting (25 June).
