Tuscany: A healthcare system of excellence

Tuscan Organisation of Universities and Research for Europe (Tour4Eu) are pleased to invite thematic stakeholders to the institutional event 'Tuscany: a healthcare system of excellence, attracting investment and talent mobility in Europe', which will take place on Tuesday, 25 February 2026, from 9:00 to 12:30, at the European Committee of the Regions (CoR) in Brussels, room JDE 53 (Jacques Delors Building), Rue Belliard 99, 1040 Bruxelles.

The event will be hosted by Antonio Mazzeo, Member of the European Committee of the Regions, and will feature a contribution by Dario Nardella, Member of the European Parliament, alongside representatives of Tuscan universities and European institutions.

The discussion will focus on the role of universities within regional healthcare and innovation ecosystems, addressing:

  • collaboration between universities, regions and EU institutions;
  • knowledge transfer and innovation in the health sector;
  • synergies between EU programmes supporting research, innovation and talent mobility.

The event will provide an opportunity to exchange with academic leadership from Tuscan universities and to reflect on how university-based ecosystems can contribute to European policy priorities in health and innovation.

The working language of the event will be English.
