DBRI’s offer as partner in an EU consortium on Horizon 2020 call LC-EEB-02-2018: Building information modelling adapted to efficient renovation Danish Building Research Institute (DBRI) would like to participate as a partner in an EU consortium about Horizon 2020 call LC-EEB-02-2018 ‘Building information modelling adapted to efficient renovation’. In the memo DBRI has made an extraction of the main tasks in the Horizon 2020 BIM & Renovation call, and in addition is given a competence description we will offer an EU consortium. Danish Building Research Institute (DBRI) DBRI is the Danish national building research institute and is affiliated Aalborg University (AAU). DBRI develops research-based knowledge to improve buildings, the built environment and education and is the authority adviser for the national authorities on building legislation. DBRI identifies subjects that are important for professionals and decision-makers involved, and subsequently we communicate our knowledge to these groups e.g. through national construction guidelines. DBRI/AAU has a staff of approximately 130/5.000 and an annual turnover of approximately 13/380 Mio €. Link: http://www.en.aau.dk/ Main tasks extracted from the call text in Horizon 2020 BIM & Renovation The following tasks are extracted from the scopes and expected impacts in the call text, and they are explained in related to the actual call text in chapter 1: – Task 1: Data exchange formats in product and construction standards. Task 2: BIM+ models and platforms in renovation: 1) 3D-model incl. location, 2) Energy/environmental models, 3) Other building property models, 4) Work process models and 5) Economy models and renovation scenarios. – Task 3: BIM+ innovation in work processes and best practice examples. – Task 4: Productivity impact including baseline and market uptake in EU. – Task 5: Open communication and cooperation with other projects.
