Innovation & Investment
The Innovation & Investment Working Group aims to monitor the main initiatives put in place by the European institutions under the priority ‘an economy that works for the people’ and explicitly target SMEs. The Working Group monitors industrial and cluster policy developments and promotes instruments that support innovative financing (e.g., cascade funding financial instruments).

TREASoURcE Webinar: Local circular economy solutions to global challenges – Exclusive look at the first results from TREASoURcE demos
On 29 May, the Horizon Europe TREASouURCE project organises 3 thematic webinars on circular plastics, batteries and bio-based side streams. The webinars will present the results and findings from the first half of the project and provide discussion time for the participants to engage. Furthermore, the Replication Handbook will be launched during the event.

Policy & Smart Specialisation WGs meeting: Widening in FP10 and impact on cohesion policy post-2027
Widening and deepening engagement in R&I has been one of ERRIN's priorities. This joint Policy and Smart Specialisation Working Groups meeting will concentrate on widening as one of the key issues to address in the FP10 debate, considering also its impact on cohesion policy post-2027. The event will be held in person at the ERRIN premises on 22 May from 10:00-12:00.

Health InnoFacilitator project launches call for receiving tailored procurement coaching sessions
The EU-funded project Health InnoFacilitator invites public procurers operational in the provisioning of health and social care to apply for the Call for Coaching Sessions to receive advice to facilitate the launch of future tenders to procure innovative solutions. Coaching will be given on either "Advise public buyers on the formulation of their needs" or "Advise public buyers on the PPI process". The deadline for application is 29 February.

ERRIN Spring AGM 2023 – taking stock of the EU Missions
ERRIN’s Spring Annual General Meeting (AGM) 2023 took place on 22 June this year. As always, it brought together the large and dynamic community of member regions and cities. Following the format part with the update from the network, the main focus was the EU Missions, approached in two policy debates, on the support and implementation frameworks in Adaptation, Ocean and Waters and Soil Missions, and the governance innovation and the perspective on Cities and the Cancer Missions.
