INTRODUCTION TO THE WORKSHOP

One of ERRIN’s missions is to increase project opportunities for members by providing possibilities for networking to share project ideas, best practices and personal contacts. The Circular Bio-based Europe Joint Undertaking (CBE JU - previously the BBI JU) has recently published their call for project proposals for 2022. As many of the topics in the new CBE call for proposals are in line with the interests of the Bioeconomy Working Group, the WG will organise a project facilitation workshop around the calls on 21 June between 10:00-12:15 CEST.

The workshop will start with a presentation of the new CBE Partnership and the call for proposals by the CBE Secretariat. This will be followed by a breakout session, where participants can participate in discussions around pre-selected project ideas around the new calls.

This workshop is primarily aimed at experts in the field and is open to both ERRIN members and external partners. We expect all participants to be prepared and to have the expertise to discuss the calls and the project ideas. 

WORKSHOP SET-UP

The project facilitation process consists of the following four main steps:

1. Submission of project ideas - closed

The call for project ideas closed on 27 May.

2. Shortlist of project ideas

Using the information submitted in step 1, ERRIN has together with the Bioeconomy WG leaders identified which of the submitted project ideas that are of most interest to the stakeholders and created virtual discussion tables which will look to initiate proposal development during the online workshop.

3. Call for partners – registration open until 19 June, 18:00 CEST

ERRIN has opened the registration for potential partners to sign up to the four virtual discussion tables that have been set up around the selected project ideas. Please note that the four discussion tables will run in a parallel way between 11:15-12:15 CEST. We therefore encourage organisations interested in several project ideas to sign up separately to each discussion table.

Please register to the workshop here. We will accept a maximum of 12 participants per discussion table in order to guarantee quality discussions. Note that we expect all workshop participants to be prepared and to have the expertise to discuss the calls and the project ideas.

4. Online project facilitation workshop - 21 June 2022, 10:00-12:15 CEST

The online workshop will be divided into two parts:

Presentation of the new CBE Partnership and calls by representatives from the CBE JU Secretariat.

Participants will beforehand have registered to the virtual discussion tables (step 3), which will focus on the shortlisted project ideas and be moderated by the project idea owners. ERRIN will facilitate these exchanges and where possible, support their follow-up.
