To mark Europe Day 2020, the Ministers for Culture from Cyprus and Malta, along with the European Commission, are presenting a webinar dedicated to digital cultural heritage.
The session will bring together the smallest island nations of the EU, which are the only EU members in the Mediterranean sea physically cut off from the main continent. They also have thousands of years of rich history and UNESCO listed world heritage sites. A number of case studies from both countries and Germany, as well as ongoing research projects will presented during the webinar.
Some of the topics that will be covered in the session include:
- The contribution of digitization in the preservation, interpretation and valorization of cultural heritage
- Challenges faced by the sector due to the coronavirus crisis
- The way forward in terms of harnessing the digital potential in cultural heritage and collaboration at an EU level.
