European Housing Alliance Meeting 'From principles to practice'

European Housing Alliance Meeting 'From principles to practice'

On 19 June, stakeholders from across Europe will gather in Brussels and online for the first European Housing Alliance meeting, entitled 'From Principles to Practice'. The event will bring together representatives from European institutions, national authorities, regional and local governments, research organisations and civil society to discuss how the newly established Alliance can effectively contribute to addressing Europe's housing challenges.

The meeting will open with welcoming remarks from Matthew Baldwin, Head of the European Commission's Housing Task Force, and Stefan Moser, Head of Unit 'Housing: Strategy and Coordination' (DG ENER), followed by updates from key European and national actors involved in shaping the housing agenda. A presentation from the Housing Task Force will introduce the European Housing Alliance and outline the proposed framework for its future work. Please find the draft agenda here.

For ERRIN members, the meeting represents an important opportunity to contribute regional and local perspectives to the development of the European Housing Alliance and to ensure that place-based innovation, regional expertise and multilevel governance approaches are reflected in future housing policy discussions. If you are interested, you can register here.

ERRIN will continue to engage with the Alliance and support the involvement of regional stakeholders in shaping solutions for affordable, sustainable and inclusive housing across Europe.
