How can regions maximise research impact? Policy event with the WiderAdvance Facility
Maximising societal impacts of research at local level in Widening countries and Outermost regions: Which recommendations for the next cohesion policy?
How can regions better translate research excellence into local economic, social and innovation impact? Join this policy event organised by the widerAdvance Facility to discuss how Widening countries and Outermost Regions can strengthen knowledge valorisation and make better use of synergies between Horizon Europe and Cohesion Policy.
Bringing together regional representatives, R&I policymakers, Brussels liaison offices, research organisations and EU stakeholders, the event will share practical evidence from eighteen months of widerAdvance implementation and explore recommendations for the next Cohesion Policy period. Participants will also discover tools and collaboration pathways that can help regions maximise the value of research results. Finally, the programme will feature a presentation and discussion around the upcoming funding opportunities for Widening countries and Outermost regions.
ERRIN Director Pirita Lindholm will speak in a panel discussion on "Increasing Knowledge valorisation and downstream synergies in Widening countries and Outermost regions" during the event.
This event will take place on 12 June from 9:30–14:30 in person in Brussels.
