In the framework of its next Board of Directors meeting and the European Commission, European Tourism Day, NECSTouR invites you to an afternoon, on 4 May from 14:00 to 17:00, dedicated to 'Empowering Destination Leaders to Deliver Sustainability' Thematic Workshops.
These Thematic Workshops are designed for all NECSTouR members, partners of the Brussels arena, guest DMOs, and private/public European tourism ecosystem representatives.
The programme includes the two following workshops:
Scaling-out Regenerative Tourism Governance: you will have the chance to learn more about the concept of regenerative tourism and how to put theory into practice through Agència Catalana de Turisme / Catalan Tourist Board, VVV Zuid-Limburg, and Ljubljana Tourism cases, including insights on honest marketing, experience development, and engagement of communities
The EU Climate Agenda: ways to decarbonise tourism activity: VisitScotland and Regione Emilia-Romagna will share their strategies on how to decarbonize and engage the tourism sector while learning more about how a thriving, decarbonized tourism sector could look like in 2030 and 2050, thanks to the research outcomes of the ‘Envisioning Tourism in 2030’ report by Dr. Paul Peeters and The Travel Foundation.
