The Emilia-Romagna Region with a population of 4,4 mill. inhabitants (7% of Italy), has a GDP of 141 bill Euro (GDP per Capita Index: 127). The industrial system is based on 382.186 small and medium companies.

The research infrastructure is made out of: 

·         6 Universities (11 locations): Bologna, Ferrara, Modena and Reggio Emilia, Parma, Piacenza

·         Over 150,000 students  (8,3% of national total amount)

·         23,100 full time researcher/scientists

Take part in a survey and shape the future DT4REGIONS platform!

ERRIN’s DT4REGIONS project is gaining pace. We invite all regional and local administrations with an interest in digital transformation to take part in a survey as part of DT4REGIONS stakeholder mapping and capacity building efforts, carried out in collaboration with the Living-in.EU initiative. Gathered input will contribute to shaping the future DT4REGIONS platform.

Successful ERRIN - EC dialogue on Mission Starfish

On 18 June ERRIN’s Blue Growth Working Group organised together with the Mission Starfish Secretariat a dialogue on the role of regions in area-based lighthouses anticipated in the Mission. It was an opportunity for ERRIN members to come together with those working on the Mission and its implementation plan to discuss potential lighthouse activities, their scale and governance.

A channel to share learning and training resources and build a collaborative educational programme featured online, on digital TV and on Facebook. The #InsiemeConnessi initiative provides knowledge and resources for citizens of all ages across the territory of Emilia-Romagna.

R2B – Research to Business is the International Exhibition on Industrial Research and Skills for Innovation promoted by the Emilia-Romagna Region (Italy) and managed by ART-ER Attractiveness Research Territory, the Consortium born to foster the sustainable growth, innovation and knowledge, attractiveness and internationalisation of the region.
