The Port of Ravenna Logistic System: A Mediterranean Gateway to and from Europe

The Port of Ravenna Authority, Gruppo SAPIR and Gruppo Federtrasporti, in collaboration with the Emilia Romagna Region with the support of the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Belgium, are holding a conference: "The Port of Ravenna Logistic System: A Mediterranean Gateway to and from Europe". The event will be taking place at the Emilia-Romagna Region EU Delegation in Rue Montoyer 21, 1000 Bruxelles, 23 April 2024 at, 16:00-19.30.

The event aims to present the Port of Ravenna’s logistic system, its strategic network and commercial links, future development plans, and main logistic assets in the area. The conference will allow an exploration of a rapidly expanding seaport hub and logistic facilities situated at the crossroads of two crucial EU TEN-T corridors - the Mediterranean and Baltic-Adriatic. Highlighted by its significant potential for development, including vast areas for new logistics hubs and terminals, ongoing infrastructure projects to deepen the channel to -14.5 meters for accommodating large container vessels, the development of two intermodal rail stations, as well as initiatives such as photovoltaic and wind energy plants, electrification of piers, and more, the Port of Ravenna stands out as a beacon of growth and innovation in the European port landscape.

This event is addressed to EU institutions, organisations, and associations in the logistics and transport sectors, as well as trade organisations, business associations, and major European and Belgian companies operating in key EU import/export industries.

A networking drink will follow starting at 18:00. Please register here by 19 April.

For those unable to attend in person, the event will be live-streamed to ensure accessibility for a wider audience. You will receive the link the day before the conference.
