REBUILDING International Forum: Dual-use technologies for recovery and resilience

REBUILDING International Forum: Dual-use technologies for recovery and resilience

A technology may be developed to address one specific challenge, yet have the potential to solve many others. A drone can be used to inspect infrastructure and assess damage after a disaster. Satellite observation can help identify where intervention is most urgently needed. A healthcare solution can bring diagnosis and medical care to places where they are needed most. The same technology. Different uses. Different scenarios. Different needs.

This is the starting point of the REBUILDING International Forum, an event dedicated to exploring how dual-use technologies can contribute to disaster recovery, resilience and reconstruction.

The Forum will bring together public authorities, emergency management experts, security agencies, technology companies and start-ups, creating opportunities to exchange knowledge, explore innovative solutions and build new partnerships.

Three thematic tracks:

  • REBUILDING & RESILIENCE: Technologies and solutions for disaster management, reconstruction and infrastructure recovery.
  • HUMAN RECOVERY: Technology supporting rehabilitation, mental health and human recovery in the aftermath of disasters.
  • HEALTH TECH FOR RESILIENCE: Healthcare solutions for emergencies, diagnosis and response in the field.

The Forum will combine plenary sessions and expert discussions with practical opportunities for collaboration. Participants will be able to take part in B2B meetings organised through the Enterprise Europe Network, discover innovative solutions in the Start-up Area, and join a technical visit linked to the reconstruction of Lorca.

The REBUILDING International Forum will provide a meeting point for those working at the intersection of technology, resilience, security, healthcare and reconstruction, with a particular focus on turning innovative dual-use solutions into practical responses to real-world challenges.

Registrations are open until 19 October.
