Istanbul Mobility Mission - RECIPROCITY

RECIPROCITY Study visit: Istanbul Mobility Mission (Turkey)

The RECIPROCITY project contributes to the transition of European cities into climate-resilient, multimodal nodes for transport, fostering the replication of mobility best practices.

To promote mutual learning, collaboration, exchange and knowledge transfer, the fourth RECIPROCITY Mobility Mission will take place in Istanbul (Turkey), from 24 to 26 May 2023.

Istanbul, with a population of more than 15 million, is a major mobility showcase, with inspiring use cases involving not only urban and road-based mobility, but also integrated sea and rail mobility, covering peri-urban and rural areas as well as multiple urban hubs.

During the Istanbul Mobility Mission, participants will visit the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality's (IBB) facilities for integrated multimodal mobility coordination and management, as well as innovation centres that have incubated various start-ups that have become internationally recognised mobility solutions. On the last day of the mission, the Open Innovation Autonomous Vehicle Development and Testing Platform (OPINA) project will also be visited.
