The first cohort of cities selected for the Mission on 100 climate-neutral and smart cities by 2030 have submitted the first iteration of their Climate City Contracts, while other cities are working on developing their contracts with a view to submit them at a later stage. This Smart Cities WG meeting invites three cities to present their experiences in developing the Climate City Contracts, including challenges and lessons learnt.

At the same time, national cities mission networks are emerging in countries across Europe, enabling cities to work together with national ministries and other institutions to address the challenges faced by cities in their journey towards climate neutrality. This WG meeting invites the French and Finnish networks to present the initiatives and provide insights into their activities. Finally, the Mission Secretariat will give an update on the Mission Label and the activities of the Mission Board will be presented.

The meeting in kindly hosted by the Cities Northern Netherlands EU Office. The WG leaders invite members and speakers to stay for a networking cocktail to continue the discussions and exchanges after the end of the meeting.
