Smart Specialisation for Sustainable Development Goals: part two

The workshop 'Smart Specialisation for Sustainable Development Goals' was planned to take place in March but has been rearranged due to the COVID-19 crisis.

The European Commission's Joint Research Centre has been working with a UN Inter-agency Task Team on Science, Technology and Innovation for the SDGs, in order to share the EU experience on Smart Specialisation Strategies. Specifically, the focus has been on localised (place-based) approaches and the widespread application of S3 strategies across EU regions.

This session, part 2 of the workshop, will focus on the implementation of the science, technology and innovation for SDGs roadmaps in the context of their contribution to sustainable recovery and future resilience. Countries, regions, cities and international partnerships will present their experiences of implementing S3 strategies for the achievement of the SDGs.
