Transport WG joint event with POLIS on urban nodes in the revised TEN-T regulation

ERRIN and POLIS are organising a joint meeting focused on the crucial topic of urban nodes within the TEN-T regulation.

This meeting will take place on 6 July from 16:30 to 18:00 CEST, followed by a networking drink. It will serve as a platform to discuss and share insights on the significance of urban nodes and will initiate discussions on the future Connecting Europe Facility (CEF).

Key objectives of the meeting include:

  1. Discussing ERRIN and POLIS work on TEN-T urban nodes: We will highlight the key policy recommendations that ERRIN and POLIS have developed in the area of urban nodes.

  1. Initiating discussions on the future Connecting Europe Facility (CEF): As we look ahead to the future of the TEN-T legislation, it is essential to discuss the financing mechanisms required to support urban nodes in meeting the objectives of the upcoming TEN-T regulation. It is essential to ensure that adequate financial resources are allocated to urban nodes.

During the meeting, Herald Ruijters Acting Deputy Director-General, Coordination of Directorate B Investment, Innovative & Sustainable Transport, DG MOVE, European Commission - will provide valuable insights into the European Commission’s perspective on urban nodes, the TEN-T Regulation and the CEF.
