Friuli Venezia Giulia Autonomous Region - Brussels Office

Friuli Venezia Giulia (FVG) is the only region in Italy recognised as strong innovator according to the RIS 2019, thanks to the high number of scientific publications, design applications and SMEs innovating in house. FVG is an important science and technology “hub”: it hosts a significant number of internationally known research infrastructures [such as the International School of Advanced Studies, the International Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology, the Abdus Salam International Centre for Theoretical Physics, ELETTRA Sincrotrone of Trieste, also seat of the Central European Research Infrastructure Consortium (CERIC), AREA Science Park, etc.] and a large community of international students and researchers as well.
