Occitanie Europe represents 24 members from the Region Occitanie / Pyrénées-Méditerranée (France). Occitanie Europe represents local authorities (Region, cities, local councils) as well as consular chambers and universities.
The current S3 strategy identifies 8 domains of specialisation: Energy transition of the territories and the regional economy; Uses, risks, economy and smart management of waters; Health, well-being and ageing well; Big data, AI and cybersecurity; Sustainable and smart materials and associated processes; Healthy, sustainable and local food; Sustainable and smart mobility; Coastal and sea economy.
During the recent European Research and Innovation Days, the European Commission announced the 2nd wave of signatories to the EU Mission for Adaptation to Climate Change Charter, with a further 100 regions and local authorities signing. Of the now 215 signatories, a staggering 100 are associated with ERRIN member cities and regions.
