ERRIN spent the European Week of Regions and Cities moderating sessions, following debates and meeting more than a dozen member delegations. Here is a selection of the moments closest to our priorities, from the EU Missions and the next MFF to talent, culture and competitiveness.
ERRIN has submitted a response to the EC's Call for Evidence on the Water Resilience Research and Innovation Strategy. The response focuses on the central role of local and regional authorities in achieving water resilience. This input will be presented at a members' meeting on Thursday 24 September at 14:00 CEST, at ERRIN's Brussels office. The session will include an exchange with a representative of the Mission Ocean and Waters Secretariat.
The European Week of Regions and Cities, taking place in Brussels from 12–14 October 2026, will once again serve as a leading platform for dialogue on regional and urban policy in Europe. This year the motto is 'Strong regions, strong Europe'. ERRIN is pleased to announce that its members will be strongly represented in this year’s programme, with sessions addressing a wide range of topics relevant to Europe’s regions and cities.
ERRIN is delighted to welcome Eastern Macedonia and Thrace to the network as one of the new members of 2026. The region is actively promoting economic growth and modernisation by focusing on key strategic sectors such as energy, agriculture, mobility and tourism. Through innovation and targeted initiatives, the region aims to enhance productivity, competitiveness and quality of life for its residents.
