CETPartnership launches Joint Call 2026 to accelerate Europe's clean energy transition

The Clean Energy Transition Partnership (CETPartnership) has launched its Joint Call 2026 to support collaborative research and innovation projects in clean energy. The call officially opened on 8 June 2026 and aims to strengthen transnational cooperation across the energy value chain, supporting the development and deployment of solutions that contribute to a climate-neutral and sustainable European energy system.

Joint Call 2026 is structured around 10 Call Modules, each addressing specific thematic priorities, scopes and Technology Readiness Levels (TRLs):

  • Integrated energy system resilience in a changing environment
  • Energy system flexibility in a high renewable energy sources (RES) scenario: energy generation, storage and system integration
  • Advanced renewable energy technologies for power production
  • Industrial carbon management
  • Hydrogen and renewable fuels
  • Stationary battery technologies and systems for climate-neutral industry and built environment
  • Heating and cooling technologies
  • Integrated regional energy systems
  • Integrated industrial energy systems
  • Clean energy integration in the built environment

Of particular interest to regions and their R&I stakeholders is the Call Module on Integrated Regional Energy Systems, which was presented during the Energy & Climate Change Working Group meeting on 19 May. If your region or your regional R&I stakeholders are interested in this Call Module, we invite you to check the eligibility criteria at this link and express your interest through the ERRIN Project Development Tool.

Applications to Joint Call 2026 follow a two-stage submission process. Only applicants whose pre-proposals are selected will be invited to submit a full proposal. Funding will be provided through participating national and regional funding organisations, which directly support eligible project partners based in their respective countries or regions.
