Representatives of Brussels-based offices leading the work of the Science & Education for Society Working Group.
The Science & Education for Society Working Group addresses topics related to the concept of place-based universities and engagement with society and citizens while also working on the role of education (both VET and Higher Education) in the Research and Innovation Smart Specialisation Strategies (RIS3) as well as education and skills for research and innovation. The Working Group facilitates information sharing, knowledge development, and aims to strengthen existing and build new relationships with the EU institutions. Facilitating project development is also part of the Working Group's scope. For this purpose, the Working Group assesses the interest of the membership for specific calls under Erasmus+ and support in the most efficient way the members in building consortia, primarily with the ERRIN online tool for project development.

This session held on 9 October 2024 from 11:30-12:30 in person in Brussels in the frame of the European Week of Regions and Cities 2024 will explore how place-based innovation and knowledge ecosystems can give a specific priority and effectively contribute to the goal of environmental sustainability and the green transition in European regions. ERRIN's Director Pirita Lindholm will join the event as speaker.
The 2024 edition of the European Week of Regions and Cities is taking place from 7-10 October in Brussels. The Creative Skills Week 2024 gathers third-level educators, university leaders, vocational education and training (VET) providers, industry partners, SME’s and policymakers dedicated to the future of the Cultural and Creative Sector Industries (CCSI). Danish cinema is leading Erasmus+ project application focusing on film education in elementary schools involving students og 8th-9th grade. Project will involve local business actors ( associations, sport clubs, small businesses, shops and cafés) and students will develop video commercials for the chosen business actor, learning skills on how to edit, cut, add sound to a video content and how to present the video project message.

The University of Angers is actively seeking for partners for a medium-scale cooperation Creative Europe project. ERRIN has submitted its messages in response to the European Commission's call for evidence for the development of the new European Innovation Agenda.
ERRIN is looking for a Policy and Communications Officer to join its Secretariat! The successful candidate will work to support ERRIN in delivering high-quality services to members, raising the profile of ERRIN within the EU research and innovation field in Brussels, and contributing to the network's overall communication strategy. To shape ERRIN's work on the topic, we encourage all members to fill in a survey about their regional work on FP10 and key issues to address. Receiving a broad view from the membership will be key for building the network's position.
