The Mid-Norway European Office is a members' organisation, consisting of actors and stakeholders from the public and private sector as well as academia. We focus on a wide array of thematic areas, including, but not limited to: bioeconomy, energy, forestry, agriculture, mobility and transport, smart cities, climate neutrality, health, blue growth and cultural heritage.

The NetZeroCities project, in which ERRIN is a partner, has selected 26 additional cities from 16 countries to take part in its Pilot Cities Programme. ERRIN is delighted to note that 12 cities from ERRIN member regions have been chosen, including Riga and Lyon, both supported by ERRIN’s NetZeroCities Climate Neutral Cities Advisors.
SINTEF has been the host of a national private-public-research partnership in Norway on risk reduction through climate adaptation of buildings and infrastructure in the last 8 years. Now SINTEF is interested in participating in a European partnership for further development of innovations and knowledge from this research centre.
Through the #Horizon2020 project +CityxChange, Trondheim kommune (Trondheim Municipality) has created a framework for municipalities aiming to create smarter and more sustainable societies.
On 18 June ERRIN’s Blue Growth Working Group organised together with the Mission Starfish Secretariat a dialogue on the role of regions in area-based lighthouses anticipated in the Mission. It was an opportunity for ERRIN members to come together with those working on the Mission and its implementation plan to discuss potential lighthouse activities, their scale and governance.
As part of the Commission expert group "Together for EU Tourism" (T4T), a webinar on Tourism Strategies Towards Resilience will be held on 28 June from 10:00 to 12:00. The webinar aims to improve social sustainability strategies for tourism at the destination level with commensurate benefits for communities, for visitors and for businesses and to empower public authorities and local decision-makers in rural areas to evaluate, benchmark and enhance their tourism strategies and policies.
The Energy and Climate Change Working Group is organising its upcoming meeting on regulatory sandboxes in the energy sector on Tuesday 12 December from 14:00 to 15:30 CET. The meeting will take place at ERRIN's office (Rue Luxembourg 3, 1000 Brussels) and will be accessible online for non-Brussels participants.
