EWRC: Securing the inclusive skills of tomorrow

As part of EWRC, three local projects from Oslo, Gothenburg and Madrid on the importance of approaching the green transition through inclusive skills development will be presented. The three projects focus on socially inclusive development of skills from different angles. This session will take place on 11 October from 09:30-10:30.

In Oslo, at the vocational school of Fagskolen i Viken, their new course, sprung from the ERASMUS+ project DIRTT, focusing on sustainable recreation and conservation of nature skills is gathering increased interest.

In Gothenburg, the city has joined forces with Volvo Cars and the private real estate company Stena Fastigheter through the project Destination Tynnered which aims to increase urban security by offering services such as vocational skills training in the socially vulnerable area of Tynnered.

The city of Madrid is working together with an NGO on a programme to develop green skills and create future job profiles for the professions of the future, to anticipate future skill needs.

This interactive event aims to develop best practices and co-create solutions to common challenges, by focusing on conversation between these three local enactors. The event will be moderated by the European Commission's DG for Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion.
