As part of the upcoming European Week of Regions and Cities, ERRIN in cooperation with EARTO is organising a joint online workshop on how to strengthen collaboration between regions and research and technology organisations (RTOs) to support a sustainable transition. The event will take place on 12 October from 16:30-18:00 CEST.

The workshop will explore how Europe can reinforce collaboration between regions and RTOs to further pool efforts in priority settings to adapt R&I strategies within regional ecosystems. This should serve to make the regional R&I strategies more inclusive and better able to tackle a sustainable transformation. In this context, the new Pilot Action on Partnerships for Regional Innovation launched in May 2022 will also be discussed.

Participants will hear practical insights from Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, Wielkopolska and Tampere, as well as discover an overview of existing tools for regions & RTOs presented by the JRC.
