Lärosäten Syd (Universities in South Sweden)

The network brings together Blekinge Institute of Technology, Halmstad University, Kristianstad University, Linnæus University, Lund University, Malmö University, and the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences. The Brussels office’s role is to increase the profile of the universities at EU level, to improve the monitoring and influencing of EU policy programmes and to support the building of closer international partnerships. An overall goal is to support increased participation in the EU Framework Programme.

Strategic R&I Projects


EUGLOH (European University Alliance for Global Health) is a strategic partnership between the Université Paris-Saclay, Lund University, Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München, Universidade do Porto and the University of Szeged.


Halos (Hanseatic League of Science interconnecting infrastructures for life science research and innovation) will build a unique collaboration between Hamburg and south west Scandinavia, bring together the 4 unique research facilities MAX IV, ESS, DESY and European XFEL, and create a centre for integrated, world-leading Life Science innovation & research.


NEXTFOOD - Innovative Science & Education for Sustainable Agriculture. Educating the next generation of professionals in the agrifood system. Enhancing the co-creation of innovation & knowledge in agriculture, forestry & related bio-value chains. Developing a European science and education roadmap for sustainable agriculture.

EUniWell – European University for Well-Being

EUniWell unites 7 diverse universities and 102 associate partners from 7 regions of Europe. It presents an action-oriented response to well-being, grounded in research expertise, educational leadership and civic engagement to meet the challenge set out by the EU and the OECD. Linnæus University is one of the member universities.
