Our mission as Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes’s office in Brussels is to support our region (elected officials, services and stakeholders) on EU policies, programmes and legislation especially In the following sectors: transport, environment and energy; research, education, innovation and economic development; agriculture and cohesion policy; tourism and Culture, Digital. In this context, we organise and contributes to the hosting of technical and political missions in Brussels, with Region's services or regional partners (like innovation stakeholders: Universities, academics, clusters, agency…). We provide our expertise in European policies and programmes to facilitate access to EU funding, through targeted information and support, and our involvement in thematic networks and initiatives like ERRIN. In addition, we represent the Region toward EU Institutions and other partners (PermRep, Regions, Networks, enterprises …) to raise the interests of the territory to influence the decision-making process. The aim is also to make visible the policies and projects of the Region in Brussels and the achievements of Europe in the territories, by organizing events.

The overall objective of ZEV is to foster fuel cell electric vehicle (FCEV) use in AURA, will deploying a network of hydrogen refueling stations (HRS) at regional level to reach a critical mass for the market uptake.
During the recent European Research and Innovation Days, the European Commission announced the 2nd wave of signatories to the EU Mission for Adaptation to Climate Change Charter, with a further 100 regions and local authorities signing. Of the now 215 signatories, a staggering 100 are associated with ERRIN member cities and regions.
The Coop AURA SHS network organises together with Region Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, member of ERRIN, a 2 days mission in Brussels on 27 and 28 June with the objective to meet and exchange with EU institutions and other European universities. Interested universities and higher education willing to meet and exchange with representatives from Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes are invited to participate.
The ERRIN Management Board has appointed a new Chair and two Vice-Chairs, who together form the Troika. New Troika will lead the Management Board in 2022-2023.
The “Association des Amis de la Fondation Seguin” is looking for European partners in the context of the transformation of the Varagnes domain (in Ardèche, France). The aim is to protect the cultural heritage of the domain of Varagnes created by Marc Seguin, and to promote responsible innovation through the Seguin Foundation. The idea is to transform the Varagnes domain which is dedicated to creation, research and innovation into a place for cultural activities that will host projects with university researchers, schools, cultural associations, artists, businesses and communities as well as events combining arts and sciences.
Grenoble has been announced as the winner of the European Green Capital Award 2022 and two cities will share the title of the European Green Leaf 2021 award.
Yesterday, the ERRIN Management Board selected Sarah English (Scotland Europa) as the new network Chair. She has been a member of the ERRIN Management Board since 2014 and served as a Vice-Chair for the last three years. The Troika is now composed of Sarah English, Lars Holte Nielsen and Hortense Lutz-Hermellin who will continue to collaborate in their efforts to support the Board and secretariat in taking the network forward.
