Nine cities from ERRIN member regions selected for the Cities Mission Twinning Learning Programme

Among the 24 cities selected for the third cohort of the EU Cities Mission Twinning Learning Programme, nine come from ERRIN member regions. This brings the total number of ambitious cities participating in the peer-learning programme to 80, all committed to accelerating their climate journey and achieving climate neutrality by 2050 the latest. The NetZeroCities project, in which ERRIN is a partner, facilitates the Twinning Learning Programme.

How to improve urban mobility to achieve Climate-Neutral and Smart Cities by 2030?

On 10 September 2024, the ERRIN Transport and Smart Cities Working Groups organised a meeting on the Cities Mission, with a focus on sustainable urban mobility. The event brought together experts, local and regional representatives and EU officials to discuss innovative strategies for reducing emissions in the mobility sector and to present key measures needed to achieve climate neutrality by 2030. Sustainable mobility is essential in reducing urban emissions, yet cities face significant challenges, especially in attracting investments and coordinating across governance levels.

Cohesion policy post-2027 - letter from regions to President Von der Leyen - support by 30 May

A letter was addressed last week to Ursula von der Leyen with the support of 111 European regions, ERRIN and CPMR, requesting a meeting with the aim of defending the future of the cohesion policy. Given the wish of other regions to adhere, the letter is planned to be resent at the end of this week - interested regions are invited to provide their logos by Thursday 30 May.

DT4REGIONS Award: Submit your solution for digital transformation - deadline extended!

The DT4REGIONS Award, an initiative of the Digital Transformation for Regions project in which ERRIN is a partner, is now open for submissions until 30 November. The call is open for AI or Big Data based, currently implemented solutions for digital transformation of public services. Selected winners will bring recognition to their initiatives across Europe.
