Trøndelag European Office is a members' organisation, consisting of actors and stakeholders from the public and private sector as well as academia. We focus on a wide array of thematic areas, including, but not limited to: bioeconomy, energy, forestry, agriculture, mobility and transport, smart cities, climate neutrality, health, blue growth and cultural heritage.

On 5 November, ERRIN submitted its response to the European Commission’s consultation on the upcoming EU Circular Economy Act. Building on ERRIN’s extensive network of regional and local innovation ecosystems, this input paper captures the insights and expertise of leading European regional and local authorities at the forefront of advancing circular economy solutions.
Following the call for nominations for ERRIN Management Board held between 3 and 17 October, we are happy to announce the nominated Management Board members. The four nominees will be approved as new Management Board members at the ERRIN Autumn General Meeting on 5 December.
The NetZeroCities project, in which ERRIN is a partner, has selected 26 additional cities from 16 countries to take part in its Pilot Cities Programme. ERRIN is delighted to note that 12 cities from ERRIN member regions have been chosen, including Riga and Lyon, both supported by ERRIN’s NetZeroCities Climate Neutral Cities Advisors.
SINTEF has been the host of a national private-public-research partnership in Norway on risk reduction through climate adaptation of buildings and infrastructure in the last 8 years. Now SINTEF is interested in participating in a European partnership for further development of innovations and knowledge from this research centre.
Through the #Horizon2020 project +CityxChange, Trondheim kommune (Trondheim Municipality) has created a framework for municipalities aiming to create smarter and more sustainable societies.
On 18 June ERRIN’s Blue Growth Working Group organised together with the Mission Starfish Secretariat a dialogue on the role of regions in area-based lighthouses anticipated in the Mission. It was an opportunity for ERRIN members to come together with those working on the Mission and its implementation plan to discuss potential lighthouse activities, their scale and governance.
