Opportunity to participate in a knowledge transfer process led by ERRIN

ERRIN hosted a webinar to introduce its members to the Green Growth Community and how they can make use of the community's knowledge, results, and experiences through the Green Growth project activities led by ERRIN.

While ensuring sustainable growth and a competitive economy for the continent, achieving climate-neutrality will be one of the European Union's (EU) top priorities in the next decades. Through the Green Deal, the EU has paved the way towards a climate-neutral Europe by 2050, in which the efficient use of resources and the circular economy will play an imperative role. This new European action plan and its ambitious targets will also affect regions, who need to adapt their priorities and strategies to conform with the set EU objectives.

The Green Growth Community brings together a great number of cross-sectoral actors who have developed innovative, green and circular solutions that support the EU's efforts to create a sustainable industry, achieve energy efficiency and greener buildings, and reach the Farm to Fork Strategy's vision of healthy and sustainable food systems. Some of these innovative solutions were presented in the webinar by the GRASPINNO, REINWASTE and PEFMED projects.

The webinar also introduced the ERRIN members to the Green Growth Community and presented the possibilities for them to exploit the community's knowledge, results and experiences. If your region is working on updating or developing regional strategies or policies related to the green and circular economy thematic and would like to make use of the best practices and resources developed by the Green Growth Community, ERRIN can support this process. Acting as a coordinator for the knowledge transfer, ERRIN will establish the communication between your regional stakeholders and the relevant experts in the community, and ensure that your stakeholders receive the information they need by applying a demand-driven approach to the activity. This activity aims to boost the sustainable development of various sectors in regions across Europe through policy changes inspired and supported by interregional knowledge sharing.
