Design & Creativity
The Design & Creativity WG aims to raise awareness of design and creativity as tools and drivers for innovation in different sectors and across Europe. Our objectives are the following: To present challenges; especially in relation to sectors that do not yet work with design (thinking) and creativity; to showcase the importance of design & creativity through good examples and concrete cases; to create a strong and vital community among our stakeholders across Europe through a bottom-up approach; to connect designers, thinkers, business, policy and society interested in finding common solutions for different challenges and to create opportunities for the WG members to develop project proposals, share their ideas, stories and ongoing activities with the EU community.

Culture and Mental Health: Practices and Policies
The Permanent Representation of Lithuania to the European Union, Culture Action Europe and RED NOSES International are hosting an event as part of the current EU projects “Culture for Health” and “Clowning Connects Us” titled: Culture and Mental Health - Practices and Policies. Through examples from the field and a panel discussion with decision-makers, the event offers the opportunity to discuss how we can make better use of and systematically include cultural approaches in our health and social care systems.
EU Missions creating new markets: the crucial role of the triple helix collaboration
The TRAMI project, in collaboration with ERRIN, is organising a Mutual Learning Event exploring the role of industry, academia and public authorities in achieving the objectives of the five EU Missions through triple helix collaboration. CH&T and D&C joint WG event on Culture Moves Europe: Supporting cultural mobility in Europe and beyond
The Cultural Heritage and Tourism and the Design and Creativity Working Groups are organising a meeting with the participation of the Goethe Institut on Culture Moves Europe on 10 May. Culture Moves Europe provides mobility grants for artists and cultural professionals in all 40 creative Europe countries.
ALL DIGITAL Weeks 2023 - Cyanotypes workshop: Build an Ecosystem View
As part of the ALL DIGITAL Weeks 2023, CYANOTYPES will organise an ONLINE WORKSHOP in order to address future digital skills. This workshop aims at reaching out across skilling frameworks – linking the “future skilling” conversation to the work done in the DigComp Community of Practice.

Call for Applications for IN SITU Summer School
Applications are now open to join IN SITU Summer School, “Place-based creative solutions for cultivating caring and sustainable communities" (20-24 September 2024), and the IN SITU Conference "Horizons of Sustainability: The power of creative innovation for transformation of rural and non-urban futures" (25-27 September 2024), both held in the beautiful island of Zlarin, Croatia.
ERRIN two-page input on FP10 for the attention of the Expert Group
As the work towards the next EU Framework Programme for R&I (FP10) continues, ERRIN is pleased to share its two-page input for the attention of the Expert Group on the interim evaluation of Horizon Europe. The document is a concise compilation of the reflections on FP10 done at ERRIN so far, highlighting topics of key importance. Work on a series of broader input papers is underway.
PROSPERO – Culture and Creativity driving prosperous development
the PROSPERO proposal seeks to put CCIs at the centre of sustainable and dynamic economic development, thus boosting our socio-economic and environmental well-being. PROSPERO uses interregional exchange and learning to consider how megatrends (digitalisation, climate action, social resilience) are reflected in the CCI sector across Europe and how public policy can ensure that we benefit from these megatrends.
New CHARTER Report: Forecast to fill gap in Heritage Education and Training
In its new report, "Forecast to fill gaps in Heritage Education and Training", the CHARTER EU Alliance delves into the gaps and needs of Cultural Heritage professionals in Europe. This report maps the main challenges for professional development in heritage, encompassing technology, sustainable development, professional collaboration, public administration, diversity, funding, social uses, knowledge transfer, occupation coding, and skills description.
Join the Heritage Hub’s summer peer-learning visit to Glasgow
The European Heritage Hub invites city representatives and heritage professionals to apply for its upcoming peer-learning visit in Glasgow, taking place 8 – 10 July 2024. Organised in partnership with the City of Glasgow, this programme offers a unique opportunity to share good practices and acquire skills for addressing environmental, digital, and social challenges related to cultural heritage in local contexts.
Call for participants to the ENCC incubator 2024
The 2024 edition of the ENCC - European Network of Cultural Centres - mentoring programme on EU project writing, will take place in Valletta, Malta, hosted by our member Spazju Kreattiv. A call for participants is now open until 15 May.

Largest public consultation on Horizon programmes 2014-2027 now open
The Commission has launched the largest public consultation ever held on the past, present and future of the European Research & Innovation Framework Programmes 2014-2027. Stakeholders are invited to share their views on the performance of Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe, as well as shaping the strategic orientations for the Horizon Europe Strategic Plan 2025-2027. The consultation will stay open for 12 weeks, closing in February 2023.

T'Cap association is looking for partners for two Erasmus+ adult education cooperation projects
The association "Collectif T’Cap", along with local partners (ADAPEI Loire-Atlantique, Cercle Karré and Pickup Production) are looking for partners to participate in two Erasmus+ cooperation projects in the field of adult education. The first one aims at developing a network of hybrid places mixing cultural and economic activities for less engaged audiences, while the second one targets autonomous housing for people with disabilities.

The Design and Creativity Working Group is looking for a new co-leader to join Anna Spechtenhauser from the Stuttgart Region European Office and Giulia Chiarel from the Brussels Liason Office of the Autonomous Province of Bolzano/Bozen – South Tyrol in steering the WG activities and priorities.
