The Design & Creativity WG aims to raise awareness of design and creativity as tools and drivers for innovation in different sectors and across Europe. Our objectives are the following: To present challenges; especially in relation to sectors that do not yet work with design (thinking) and creativity; to showcase the importance of design & creativity through good examples and concrete cases; to create a strong and vital community among our stakeholders across Europe through a bottom-up approach; to connect designers, thinkers, business, policy and society interested in finding common solutions for different challenges and to create opportunities for the WG members to develop project proposals, share their ideas, stories and ongoing activities with the EU community.

The hybrid conference is organised as the LIFE programme’s response to European Commission president Ursula von der Leyen’s New European Bauhaus initiative. ERRIN is excited to announce the launch of its new Project Development Tool, a significant game-changer in how ERRIN members and their stakeholders engage in project development activities. We encourage all members to log in, explore this tool and leverage it for their project development needs.
The University of Breda is looking for partners (both academic and not) in the field of cultural heritage, tourism and technology (ie AI) to work on a project related to Roots Tourism. The project will look to use technologies based on artificial intelligence, to create a platform capable of valorising objects.
Every year ERRIN defines workstreams to guide its work throughout the year, closely linking to its core missions and priorities, as well as the key initiatives in the EU R&I agenda. Discover what has been planned for 2024 in ERRIN Working Groups and Task Forces.

We are looking for a partner for the Creative Europe call: Bridging culture and audiovisual content through digital. We want to explore new ways to disseminate European world heritage through innovative digital technology. Our goal is to create extraordinary experiences for the public, and to solve key challenges for the participating World Heritage Sites.
A 2-day training course is organised on “Evidence informed policymaking” which will aim to introduce participants to useful tools, train them to navigate between different types of evidence and research methods, and reflect on how to deal with the many challenges of evidence-informed policymaking. ERRIN has been invited to nominate up to 3 candidates.
The project will develop a proof of concept, to show the technical and financial viability of a plug&play system composed of components and intelligent modules for interior renovation, which currently does not exist in the market. This system will consist of panels with highly insulating and lightweight materials, such as aerogel, heating and cooling elements, ventilation, as well as intelligent windows, and possibly energy production.
The RISE IMET International Conference on Emerging Technologies and the Digital Transformation of Museums and Heritage Sites will be held in Nicosia, Cyprus, on June 3-5th 2020. The conference is organized by the Research Centre on Interactive media, Smart systems and Emerging Technologies (RISE).

Anybody who is willing to solve urbanization related challenges is welcome to apply for the DESIGNSCAPES call, to which both existing and completely new ideas and solutions may be entered. The deadline for applications for Design-enabled Innovation prototypes has been postpopned for the end of July.
