Energy & Climate Change
The main objective of the Energy & Climate Change Working Group is to act as a platform to discuss and share information on energy-related policies and funding programmes, especially looking at the Green Deal and REPowerEU, the Green Industrial Plan, the Hydrogen Valleys, the energy storage and batteries (with reference to S3 Partnership on batteries) and Horizon Europe.
The priority areas also feature climate change issues (such as climate adaptation), nature-based solutions and natural resources. The WG is set to explore links and synergies with other areas in which energy and climate change play central role and cooperate with other ERRIN Working Groups, namely the Transport, Smart Cities, SEFS and S3 Working Groups, as well as the ERRIN Task Forces on climate adaptation and on the New European Bauhaus.

ERRIN Extraordinary General Meeting
The ERRIN Extraordinary General Meeting will take place on 16 November 2023 from 14:00-16:00 CET in the ERRIN premises, with participation possible online. This Meeting is organised to make the necessary changes to the ERRIN Articles of Association following requirements by the new code for Belgian companies and associations. A minimum of 2/3 of the ERRIN members must be represented at the Meeting, and therefore engagement of each member is of crucial importance.
T-SHORE Brussels Event
The T-shore forum event focused on sharing the progress, deliverables, and the future of the T-shore project will take place on 16 November and will address the skills shortages in the Offshore Wind Industry through collaborative efforts with EU partners.
Battery Innovation Days
Key players and experts from the battery field will be discussing the most promising battery technologies coming our way. This year's edition will be hybrid; uniquely taking place in the city of Bordeaux and online on 14 & 15 November 2023 ! This edition will be hosted by the Nouvelle-Aquitaine Region of France, which aims to become the first eco-responsible region in France.

The Conference will be organised under the patronage of the Spanish Presidency of the Council of the European Union in cooperation with the European Commission. ERRIN is looking for a Head of projects - Extended Deadline
In view of the upcoming departure of ERRIN's current Director of projects, Ryan Titley, ERRIN is looking for a replacement to start in September 2024. The new colleague will work closely with the ERRIN Director on strategic planning, and lead the implementation and development of ERRIN's current and future project portfolio. Living Spaces is a peer-learning programme designed for local and regional authorities to learn how to plan and implement high-quality architectural policies and projects. A new CircularInvest call has been launched for project promotors who want to increase the investment readiness level of their local and regional circular economy projects. The deadline for applications is 13 September 2024.
Express your interest in the EU Missions and New European Bauhaus Calls 2024
The European Commission has launched new calls for proposals to support research and innovation for its five EU Missions and the New European Bauhaus (NEB). ERRIN encourages all members and their stakeholders to express interest in the EU Missions and NEB calls through the ERRIN Project Development Tool (PDT).
Feedback opportunity for Horizon Europe work programme 2025
The European Commission opened an opportunity to provide input for the development of the Horizon Europe ‘main’ work programme 2025. Submitted responses will contribute to the co-design of the work programme 2025, covering all six clusters, research infrastructures, European innovation ecosystems, the five EU Missions and the New European Bauhaus facility. The deadline for feedback is 6 May 2024 midday, CEST.

Looking for pre-schools and kindergardens working with science education through nature play
With climate change in mind, it is important that children have the desire to be in nature and experience it as an extended part of them. This extension must make up for the frightening images and bad thoughts about the future and the destruction of nature. The theater will stage nature / local areas so that discoveries in nature become something where there is an interaction between children and nature. We believe that children invent new ways to appreciate nature. The children's imagination in these performances or setups will strengthen their empathy for each other and nature, simply because of being in nature with each other. The project will uncover how science can be learned to pre-school/kindergarten children through nature play/outdoor learning with a focus on climate change.

Outcomes of the joint meeting with the European Commission on the Mission on Adaptation to Climate Change
On 22 February, ERRIN organised a joint meeting with the European Commission on the Mission on Adaptation to Climate Change to discuss regions' challenges and needs in terms of climate adaptation and priority actions for the Mission in the coming years. Following the meeting, we now welcome members' views on the Mission Charter that is to be introduced by the Commission in the coming weeks.
