The event will take place at the Puglia Region Brussels Office and online, bringing together European regions and stakeholders to explore the transformative role of culture in supporting healthier, more inclusive and cohesive communities.
Building on the cooperation established through RICC, the session will feature contributions from several network members, including Puglia Region, Emilia-Romagna Region, Liguria Region and North-East Romania. It will provide an opportunity to exchange experiences and discuss how cultural and creative activities can contribute to citizens’ health and wellbeing, strengthen social connections and improve quality of life.
A particular focus will be placed on cultural welfare policies and the role of public authorities in working together with the cultural and creative sectors to develop approaches that respond to local needs. By placing culture at the heart of territorial development, such policies can help empower communities, foster inclusion and create stronger social bonds.
The event will also showcase regional and local experiences and explore policy approaches that can support meaningful, culture-driven change across European territories.
