ERRIN is looking for a Head of projects
In view of the upcoming departure of ERRIN's current Director of projects, Ryan Titley, ERRIN is looking for a replacement to start in September 2024. The new colleague will work closely with the ERRIN Director on strategic planning, and lead the implementation and development of ERRIN's current and future project portfolio. Applications are open until 20 May at 17.00 CEST.

Express your interest in the EU Missions and New European Bauhaus Calls 2024
The European Commission has launched new calls for proposals to support research and innovation for its five EU Missions and the New European Bauhaus (NEB). ERRIN encourages all members and their stakeholders to express interest in the EU Missions and NEB calls through the ERRIN Project Development Tool (PDT).

Feedback opportunity for Horizon Europe work programme 2025
The European Commission opened an opportunity to provide input for the development of the Horizon Europe ‘main’ work programme 2025. Submitted responses will contribute to the co-design of the work programme 2025, covering all six clusters, research infrastructures, European innovation ecosystems, the five EU Missions and the New European Bauhaus facility. The deadline for feedback is 6 May 2024 midday, CEST.

CHARTER Alliance publishes a new report mapping cultural heritage stakeholders, looking at cultural heritage as an economic sector and labour market with interacting stakeholders in anticipated roles, whose dynamics, skills and competencies will affect the quality of heritage as a resource and common good.

I3 Instrument “Capacity Building - Strand 2b” call now open
In the framework of the I3 Instrument, a new “Capacity Building in Less Developed Regions - Strand 2b” call was published in December 2022 with a deadline of 16 March 2023, 17:00 (CET). The objective of the call is to test new approaches in order to increase the capacity of regional innovation ecosystems in less developed regions participating in EU value chains.

The RESIST project - testing adaptation solutions to key climate challenges
The RESIST project, launched last week, is a five-year EU-funded project coordinated by SINTEF in collaboration with INOVA+, which will support twelve regions across the EU in their efforts to build resilience against the impacts of climate change. ERRIN’s role in the project is to develop a Community of Practice and identify needs for a mutual-learning scheme. Following this, ERRIN will link LSD/Twinning regions with the wider Community of Interest.

Circular Biobased Europe Joint Undertaking funding priorities for 2023
The Circular Biobased Europe Joint Undertaking (CBE JU) has published its Annual Work Programme for 2023, including information about the next call for project proposals. €215.5 million will be dedicated to advancing competitive circular bio-based industries in Europe across 18 topics.

Call to join the European Union campaign to boost knowledge valorisation
The European Commission’s Directorate for Research & Innovation is organising an awareness raising campaign on knowledge valorisation, with the aim to introduce this policy and demonstrate how to better translate research and innovation results into benefits for the economy and society. The awareness raising campaign is envisaged for a period of 18 months, starting in spring 2023.

Management Board elections 2022 – results
Between 3 and 17 October, ERRIN members could put forward their candidatures for this year’s ERRIN Management Board elections. Five new Management Board members were selected and approved at the Autumn Annual General Meeting on 8 December.
