NEB Task Force
The goal of the NEB Task Force is to follow up the EU level developments of the initiative as well as showcase activities carried out on the local level to demonstrate concrete examples and results and build momentum towards a stronger NEB initiative. One of the main objectives of the task force is to develop members' understanding of the NEB initiative and, consequently, their capacity to maximise their engagement with it, particularly engaging their local ecosystems and building new collaborations. As a NEB partner, ERRIN aims to strengthen the policy dialogue with the EU institutions, with the NEB Taks Force driven by the most active members in the NEB topic.

NEB Task Force Satellite Event: Regions & Cities paving the future of the NEB

Opening up Research and Innovation processes in EU Missions: Interactive Workshop
As part of the New European Bauhaus Festival, the REINFORCING project will be running a workshop on Open Responsible Research and Innovation. During this interactive and participatory workshop, participants will have a chance to discover practical examples of how public engagement and co-creation processes can be used in the context of EU missions and share the challenges faced in implementing these processes. Express your interest in the EU Missions and New European Bauhaus Calls 2024
The European Commission has launched new calls for proposals to support research and innovation for its five EU Missions and the New European Bauhaus (NEB). ERRIN encourages all members and their stakeholders to express interest in the EU Missions and NEB calls through the ERRIN Project Development Tool (PDT).
Feedback opportunity for Horizon Europe work programme 2025
The European Commission opened an opportunity to provide input for the development of the Horizon Europe ‘main’ work programme 2025. Submitted responses will contribute to the co-design of the work programme 2025, covering all six clusters, research infrastructures, European innovation ecosystems, the five EU Missions and the New European Bauhaus facility. The deadline for feedback is 6 May 2024 midday, CEST.
The European Capital of Innovation Awards
In 2024, the European Innovation Council is celebrating the 10th anniversary of the European Capital of Innovation Awards. The competition rewards those European cities that are courageous enough to open their governance practices to experimentation and push the boundaries of technology for the benefit of their citizens. In addition to the monetary reward, the prize brings high visibility in the form of renewed public interest and increased media coverage. The deadline for submission is 18 June 2024, 17:00.
New NEB Facility will support the NEB from 2025 to 2027
This week marks the adoption of the NEB Facility, the first multi-annual budget support tool for the New European Bauhaus from 2025 to 2027. Its aim is to create and scale up innovative solutions that can revitalise European neighbourhoods through design for sustainability and inclusion.

Interreg Europe's 3rd call for proposals, launched on 20 March, supports interregional cooperation projects addressing common regional development challenges. Organisations can use the ERRIN Project Development tool to express interest and find partners. The call is open until 7 June 2024.

"VeneTo Stars" challenge 2024
The second edition of the "Veneto Stars" challenge has been launched, promoted by Veneto Region - Veneto Digital Agenda. Teams of young Europeans aged between 18 and 25 are asked to submit ideas to favour the protection, conservation, monitoring, or valorisation of the Veneto Region's UNESCO sites and cultural heritage.
