Design & Creativity
The Design & Creativity WG aims to raise awareness of design and creativity as tools and drivers for innovation in different sectors and across Europe. Our objectives are the following: To present challenges; especially in relation to sectors that do not yet work with design (thinking) and creativity; to showcase the importance of design & creativity through good examples and concrete cases; to create a strong and vital community among our stakeholders across Europe through a bottom-up approach; to connect designers, thinkers, business, policy and society interested in finding common solutions for different challenges and to create opportunities for the WG members to develop project proposals, share their ideas, stories and ongoing activities with the EU community.

Give new generations power, freedom and safety to express themselves
World Expression Forum (WEXFO) is hosting a discussion about initiatives to strengthen youth’s participation in democracy on 23 February between 09:30-13:00. Beginning with a presentation of the EU's support of freedom of expression, democracy and human rights, as well as EU project opportunities, and continuing with an introduction to World Expression Forum and our activities, with a particular focus on our project Youth’s participation in Society. The session will end with a networking lunch from 12:00.
SEFS WG Meeting: Kicking off the European Year of Skills in the ERRIN Network: State of play of the Pact for Skills and its regional dimension
This first SEFS WG meeting will kick off the European Year of Skills in the ERRIN network and is open to members of all Working Groups. ERRIN members will have an in-depth look at the Pact for Skills and we will learn about the state of play of this first flagship of the new European Skills Agenda. We will also discuss with the European Commission the regional dimension of the Pact for Skills, the Regional Skills Partnerships and showcase examples from the Lombardy Region and the European Chemical Regions Network.

Cultural Heritage & Tourism WG Meeting - Labels for Cultural Heritage and Tourism
The Cultural Heritage & Tourism WG invites its members to a meeting, on 15 February from 14:15-16:00, with Gabrielle Bernoville and Maria Castillo (DG EAC- Education, Youth, Sport and Culture/ Unit D2 Creative Europe) to learn more about available EU labels in the sector and discuss experiences and opportunities for potential applications in regional Research and Innovation.
NEB Stewardship Lab Launch Event
Metropolia University of Applied Sciences (Finland), together with other European coordinators, welcomes you to the online launch event of the New European Bauhaus Stewardship Lab on 7 February between 14:00-15:30. A consortium of 7 partners gathering four historic pilot sites in Latvia, Lithuania and France, coordinated by the University of Latvia, are looking for further partners for the call HORIZON-CL2-2024-HERITAGE-01-01.
Danish VR company looking for partners to develop online teaching experience focusing on biodiversity challenges
A Danish film company is looking for partners to join them in their Erasmus+ Cooperation Partnership project, focussing on the development of a VR educational experience. The material will include an educational segment and an interative VR challenge, where students will apply their knowledge to ensure the species' survival.
The European Heritage Hub project is looking for good practices
The European Heritage Hub is collecting good practices to share throughout Europe and beyond! Administrations of a city or region are asked to submit highlights of their work in heritage in the context of the ‘triple transformation ’ – green, digital and social – of our society. Ten practices will be selected for publication and promotion through the European Heritage Hub. Cities whose good practices are selected also get the opportunity to host a peer learning visit with a delegation of 20 participants funded by the project (3 peer learning visits will take place between Q2 2024 and Q1 2025).

InnoArch is a Norwegian consortium dedicated to fostering innovation-driven research, production, and dissemination within architecture and urban development. They are looking for a European consortium for HORIZON-CL6-2024-BIODIV-02-2-two-stage.
ERRIN end of year reception - 2023 Highlights
On 7 December, ERRIN celebrated the network’s achievements in 2023. Following an engaging meeting with leaders of our 15 Working Groups, all ERRIN members were invited to a cocktail reception featuring a keynote from Markus Schulte, Head of Cabinet of Iliana Ivanova, European Commissioner for Innovation, Research, Culture, Education and Youth. Sparking collaborations and project opportunities within the ERRIN Culture & Creativity Cluster
Last month, the Cultural Heritage & Tourism Working Group, alongside the Design & Creativity Working Group and the New European Bauhaus Task Force, launched a survey to map members' interest in the upcoming Horizon Europe calls focusing on cross-cutting areas such as culture, creativity, and tourism, circular economy and design with deadlines in early 2024. Following the positive response and active participation of over 50 ERRIN members in the consultation, ERRIN hosted a project development session to foster collaboration opportunities and spark project ideas.

Every year ERRIN holds elections for the Management Board. Becoming a member of the Board offers a great opportunity to develop ERRIN further and strategically lead the network’s activities. You can put forward your candidature for this year’s elections until 5 October.

Call for a new NEB Task Force leader
The New European Bauhaus (NEB) Task Force is looking for a new co-leader to join the Autonomous Province of Bolzano/Bozen – South Tyrol, Cities Northern Netherlands, Helsinki, and Autonomous Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia in steering the TF activities and priorities. We invite members to send the applications until 10 October.

The New European Bauhaus consultations are open
After the Commission's proposal to launch a new EU Mission on New European Bauhaus, five consultations are now open to gather input on the objectives, implementation and financing of the Mission. The purpose of this targeted consultation is to gather the views of the professional community on the R&I needed for the transformation of our construction ecosystem, in order to identify and define the right components to design this potential future mission.

ERRIN Extraordinary General Meeting on 16 November 2023 – important announcement for members
All ERRIN members are invited to save the date for the ERRIN Extraordinary General Meeting, which will take place on 16 November 2023 in the ERRIN premises. The meeting is organised to make the necessary changes to the ERRIN Articles of Association and a minimum of 2/3 of the ERRIN members must be represented. Therefore, the engagement of each member is of key importance (participation is possible online for associate members).

Call for Action: Youth Freedom of Expression
Youth Freedom of Expression is a project concept where organisations working for youth participation join forces in identifying and mitigating barriers to youth freedom of expression in Europe. The partnership will build capacity and promote action for enabling greater freedom of expression among European youth at organisational and individual levels though finding and testing innovative practices and joint initiatives, and through forming a joint forum for the promotion of youth freedom of expression in Europe.
